Old Fort Lowell

Visit Old Fort Lowell and quickly see what makes it one of Tuscon's top neighborhoods. It is home to Rillito River Park and the Tuscon Country Club. The river split this neighborhood which spreads out a bit more than others, so you'll need to drive or use the city's mass transit. You'll find ample cafes, pubs, restaurants and shopping in Old Fort Lowell. It attracts highly educated residents. About a quarter of its residents obtained a Master's degree, while more than ten percent obtained a professional degree such as M.D. or Ph. D. Despite these factors, it has kept its cost of living near that of the rest of Tuscon. Only its housing costs slightly more than in the rest of the city. Although it's mostly Caucasian, there are small Asian and African American populations in this neighborhood, too.

Poets Square

Think fitness and fun when considering this extremely livable Tuscon neighborhood. You can take mass transit, walk, or bike the neighborhood to reach its plethora of shopping, grocery and dining options. It's also your choice of how to arrive at any of this area's numerous fitness locations. Whether you enjoy weight lifting, jiu jitsu, swimming, golf, pilates, or want to work with a personal trainer, Poets Square offers it. The neighborhood features moderately priced, attractive homes with well-manicured lawns. The area remains popular with those in their 40s. It's mostly Caucasian with small African-American and Asian populations. The majority of residents have a high school diploma and more than half earned a Bachelor's degree. Rents and the crime rate are a little higher in Poets Square than the rest of Tuscon.

Catalina Vista-Blenman-Elm

Catalina Vista-Blenman-Elm provides an exceptionally livable neighborhood in Tuscon, AZ. With a population of barely more than 1,000, it provides a small town feel. Popular among thirty-somethings, the neighborhood teems with coffee shops, bookstores, cafes, and shopping. You'll find numerous amenities nearby including museums, Old Pueblo tours, Coronado National Forest and Mission San Xavier del Bac, located just outside the city. It's a mostly Caucasian neighborhood with a small Asian population near the University of Arizona campus. Home values and incomes are higher here, but so is the cost of living. It boasts one of the lower crime rates of Tuscon neighborhoods and a higher number of high school graduates. You won't need to drive because the city's mass transit system serves the area with frequent stops. It's also a great neighborhood for walking and biking.
