Oakland New Jersey: An Astonishing City 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) I experienced an astonishing stay while living in Oakland New Jersey. The city is a part of Bergen County. Oakland is in close proximity to Woodcliff Lake New Jersey. The borough has well-established school academics. It houses public, private, technical, and college preparatory ...Read More schools. Employment in Oakland is on a steady rise. The town offers a fair share of industrial employment through business parks such as the Oakland-McBride Center. The housing opportunities are positive, but living expenses are high. I have always felt a sense of safety and security in the town. Weather in Oakland is idyllic.

Some of the best areas in Oakland New Jersey surround Ramapo Valley Road. This is a path to dining, shopping, and other retail centers. Oakland is an amazing city. It has great parks where communities get-togethers and sports activities. Rec Field, located off Oak Street is a major park that hosts activities such as softball, baseball, roller hockey, tennis, and basketball. The town also has great waterways for fishing, boating, canoeing and the like. The area is great for raising a family. Read Less
