I lived in West Central Mesa for a couple years, and there were some things that I liked about it and a few things that I did not. What I enjoyed about living there was that there were lots of local amenities. This included the Mesa Arts Center, which provides you with performing ...Read More
and visual arts. Not to mention, the Mesa Arts Center is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. The $95 million studio offers some of the best performances in the region, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Another place to check out would be Golfland Sunsplash. You can cool off at their wonderful water park. There are over 30 attractions at Golfland Sunsplash that include mini golf, race cars, laser tag, bumper boats and pizza. Additionally, you might also want to visit the Superstition Farm. It is a great place to learn about dairy farming and the farm has more than 1,000 dairy cows.
One of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in Mesa would be the Tortas La Presa restaurant. West Central Mesa was ranked as the number five neighborhood in Mesa, and they received the honor of number 111 in all of Arizona. The sunny weather and stable housing market make this a neighborhood worth looking into. Another one of the benefits of this neighborhood is that you have a relatively low cost of living. One of the best nightlife hotspots here would be Hollywood Alley. It is a 21 and older club that has been offering live music for nearly 25 years. It has a great dive bar and numerous well known bands have played here.
West Central Mesa offers a wide selection of housing options. This includes the classic 10-unit complex to the gated community. One of the advantages of living in West Central Mesa is that you will be stunningly close to some of the best kayaking, hiking, horseback riding and camping in the country. There is something here for everyone. The area is steeped in rich history for the history lover, and you will find pools everywhere. The one downside is that the heat can sometimes be brutal during the summer months, and you want to avoid the Mesa freeway because traffic is often at a standstill even when it is not rush hour. The Fiesta Mall in Mesa would be a stupendous shopping opportunity that offers some of the more high ticket items. In general, I have found that Mesa has some wonderful places to go shopping.
