I relocated to the Northwest section of Mesa about five years ago. The neighborhoods are considered to be what is east of the Riverview Shopping Center. One thing I noticed about this place right from the start is the wonderful dining establishments. There are numerous entertainm ...Read More
ent venues and plenty of education opportunities. Because the city is so close to Tempe, it brings even more opportunities within a short dive.
The freeways system is good here, and it makes getting around this metropolitan area quick. Considered part of the greater Phoenix area, the freeway system is quite elaborate and well placed. I have no problem making it across town to my job in no time. Of course there are the usual busy times; for the most part transportation around here is a breeze.
Hope you like heat if you're moving to this area. The summers are scorching hot, because it is primarily a desert town. AC is a must here. However, there are plenty of places to off-set the heat. There are indoor sporting events, plenty of shopping malls and of course movie theaters. There are some outdoor activities too, for those who want to wait till evening. There are some water parks that offer free admission, and even a few of the schools are equipped with swimming pools.
Whether kid or adult, the Phoenix Zoo is a blast. Desert Breeze Park is a water park that is also a great deal of fun. Hohokam Stadium is a must for all baseball enthusiasts. The Cubs do their spring training here. There are numerous concerts and other community festivals held here too. Nature enthusiasts will love being close to the Tonto National Forest. It's a great place to hike, fish and just enjoy the great outdoors. If a person needs to leave Mesa, the Sky Harbor International Airport is a mere 30 minutes away. The 101 and 202 freeways make this easily accessible.
Those who are relocating to Mesa will find that it is a great place to live. Rental units and purchasing a house is reasonable here. Due to its centralized location, it makes everything convenient. The homes here are beautiful and have a Southwestern flair. The people are nice and very inviting. There is always something to do, so there is never a reason to be bored. Outside of the heat in the summer, it is one of the best places on earth to live. Northwest Mesa AZ Neighborhood Review
