Living Near the Twin Cities 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) Living in Mandota Heights is practically like living right in the Twin Cities, except way less crowded and insane. Don't get me wrong, I love all the hustle and bustle of the cities, all they have to offer, and the amazing places to eat and shop. Mall of America, am I right? But ...Read More at the end of the day, having a quiet place to curl up and read a book is important to me, and Mandota Heights gives it to me.

Sure, there isn't a ton to do here, I'll admit that. Basic shopping, a few awesome places to eat, and that's it. The best ares in Mandota Heights, aside from my cozy little house, are, like I said, the few places to eat. My favorite is Axel's Restaurant, which hits the spot when you need something indulgent, like juicy stake or perfect, flaky fish. We may not be super busy here, but the community can't be beat.
