La Mesa is a city of about 60,000 residents in the California county of San Diego. It is appropriately nicknamed "Jewel of the Hills" for its charm a midst the beautiful geographic surroundings.

Some notable annual events held in La Mesa include La Mesa's popular Oktoberfest celebration. Each October, La Mesa receives about 200,000 visitors just for their event. Other interesting celebrations and events include La Mesa's Back to the 50's Car Show, Christmas in the Village, and the Flag Day Parade.
A favorite city location of La Mesa is its new urban park. Located downtown nearby some of the cities biggest business buildings and most popular apartment complexes, is the Walkway of the Stars. This lovely area of the city is dedicated to the many volunteers that service the city.
