Neighborhood in Transition User Rating 2.5 rating By taxonomy12 ( Nov 17, 2017) This neighborhood, Green Valley North, is a good location for being next to grocery stores and restaurants. There a ton of apartment complexes. Avg. rent is around $900. Lots of young couples with children who are both working. Lately, there has been in an increase in the types o ...Read More f crimes tending towards more violence. Along Sunset at the very North end there a ton of abandoned stores and the area is filled with transients. The businesses in this area have more than their share of trouble with the ones that are mentally ill or use drugs. You can see them pushing carts or drinking from open containers or hanging around the grocery stores where they can get free food. Sunset park is to the far East end and Duck Creek runs through, there are a lot of impromptu camps set up around there, sometimes you see them. The neighborhood could go both ways, if gets worse it could turn into a neighborhood like Whitney, but basically business needs to come back, which for the past 10 years it has not.
