Nice city but not much to do... 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Nov 02, 2018) The community is very strong in Harrisonburg but there isn't always something to do. Typical College Town 2 rating By ejenkins ( Mar 18, 2014) There's decent shopping here, if you like big box stores, if you want a variety you can find a little bit of it downtown.
There are some really great restaurants, such as Clementine's downtown. Basically, if you want some culture, live close to the downtown area.
College kids are ...Read More crawling all over this town. JMU has expanded too far into this town and will keep going too.
The locals are townies that have small town VA points of views....they don't like the college kids either.
There's little to no diversity. There's a lot of drugs here too.
