I have lived in Powers Colorado Springs, CO for the last 25 years and I would not possibly think about moving anywhere else in the world. I have grown up with 2 older sisters along with my mom and dad. I am happily married to a wonderful man that I met down the street almost 5 years ago and we currently have 2 beautiful daughters that we will continue to raise in Powers. Before my husband and I met he lived in Birchwood Village but soon after we met he relocated to Powers, we were married the next year and have lived here every since. Housing in my area is reasonably priced and you will get to enjoy all the great restaurants and shopping that is close by.
There are quite a few great places that we like to eat at in the area including Back Street Pizza and Wings on Bloomington Street. At Back Street Pizza and Wings you will eat the best pizza and wings in the entire state of CO. We also enjoy visiting Chipotle Mexican Grill on North Academy Blvd for a little taste of Mexican food.
With so mnay attractions near the area you are within driving distance to many different cultures and entertaining this to do. The Garden of the Gods is free and beautiful. There are many hiking and horse trails as well as disabled areas. It is clean and very well kept. Definitely stop when you first enter to get a picture at the sign. If you are like most families and enjoy the zoo you will want to visit Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. You will see a beautiful setting with many baby meerkats, a Kamodo dragon and art that was done by an elephant. The zoo is so beautiful and they do offer a coupon online that will allow you to enter for only $15 for adults. You come very close to giraffes, bears, zebras, giraffes, tigers all that are free running in their pens.
