What is the Best Steak House in Chicago? I've been to Chicago half a dozen times and every time I go I always make an effort to get to a Chicago steak house! So far, I've been to Gibsons (1028 North Rush St), Smith and Wollensky (318 North State St) and Shula's steak house (301 East North Water St). It's hard to pick a favorite, but I have to say Gibsons was the most memorable experience. My steak was cooked to perfection and it was big enough to feed a small army! But the best part was the atmosphere and the servers / bartenders. It made for a very memorable experience. So much so, that after dinner we stayed and had a couple drinks at the bar, the bartender was hilarious and even gave us our third drink free. Can anyone else suggest a steak house worth visiting? What's your favorite steak house in Chicago?

My personal fav is Rosebud Prime Steakhouse on Dearborn Street. The atmosphere is a little more high class than I'm used to, but the food is incredible!!! The dining room is very open with high ceilings and velvety red chairs that you sink into. The waiters were very professional and courteous and quickly told us that the Shrimp cocktail was a must have. We ordered it along with the Kobe beef hot dogs. Ya, I know a hot dog at a place like this is just wrong, but hey it was actually really good. Best hot dog I've ever had. I rounded off my meal with the Delmonico Rib Eye, which had just the right amount of fat and was cooked to perfection. You really can't go wrong with any Steak House in Chicago, but Rosebud Prime is the one that is most memorable for me.
