Biloxi is a beach side city full of fun for all ages, culture, dining, gaming, history & great people.
The first year we visited, I was a little intimidated by how many buildings & how "busy" the main road seemed to be. As we began to explore, our family became more impressed with how much there is to see and do. One of our favorite attractions is the Biloxi Visitors Center. It's chock full of history & learning experiences for both young and old. We used the Katrina Exhibit for a history & science lesson & was intrigued by how much information we gathered. The front desk offers "magic wands" to each guest. these "magic wands" are used for the recordings that go along with each exhibit. It's a great idea and worked well for our family so each of us could go along on our own pace.
My absolute favorite attraction is the Biloxi Lighthouse. I loved learning the history & the restoration of this very popular and most photographed lighthouse.
Biloxi has great beaches and piers to walk along and enjoy the sun, smell the ocean and just relax.
A family favorite is the Hard Rock Casino gallery. We love to look at all the memorabilia. Again, this is a great learning experience for kids. They get to see just how much music has changed through out the years and how these artists changed the music industry.
The park across the street from the Hard Rock Cafe hold a Chris Ledoux Memorial Waymarker. Mr. Ledoux has always been a favorite artist of our family's and found the marker very interesting. The Extreme Make Over Home Edition which includes personal valuables donated by the local residents as well as the names of those lost. There are statues created and donated by local artists that are beautiful, intriguing & just amazing to look at.
