Woodmere is a large town within Jefferson County that houses about 12,000 residents. The median age bracket is thirty-three with an average home size of about three people. The only disadvantage here is the crime rate is consistent and steadily increasing. The summer climate is generally hot, humid and uncomfortable. There are unpredictable heavy downpours and rainstorms most times daily. Nevertheless, the water from the nearby lakes usually cools the city down, but can also produce dense fog. Spring and fall are by far the driest at of all seasons. The winters are fair with consistent rain from December through March. Louisiana is somewhat of an attraction within itself, one will embrace the shopping centers, public schools, theme parks, aquariums, restaurants and movie theatres. Furthermore, residents such as myself usually find a host of arts, culture, entertainment, music, food, history and architecture right within the downtown area where there are multiple festivals held. Overall, this is great area for touring and vacationing.
