Living in West Springfield might be expensive, but the city has a lot to offer and the price tag is justified. Due to its close proximity to Washington DC, there are a lot of opportunities for work in politics or for private companies that work closely with the government. There are also options for school, such as Northern Virginia Community College, if you want to pick up a couple night classes or an extra certification for your job.

The town center has a lot of good stores you can check out. In the summer, the city is pretty busy. You'll be able to check out some summer festivals and parades, which are always fun. If you enjoy outdoor activities, there are a few quality golf courses to choose from. Lake Accotink Park is the best area in West Springfield in my opinion. I visit there often with my dog and it's a great place to exercise too.
