I have been living in New Jersey my entire life, and today I call West Freehold my home because I needed to get away from the congestion of North Jersey. The birthplace of Bruce Springsteen, living in West Freehold has changed a lot since I was a kid. Even though the Freehold Raceway track is a mile up the road off of Route 9, that area is now a shopper's paradise.
Across from the horse race track is the Freehold Raceway Mall, packed with every store and restaurant you could want. The best areas in West Freehold for me are the parks. I love going to Turkey Swamp Park and hitting the paddle boats or relaxing in the sun on beautiful spring days here in the Garden State.
The community I live is comprised of houses from decades ago, and my neighbors are all caring people with deep roots here. I can hit 195 and get to the Jersey Shore in a half hour, or get to New York off the Garden State Parkway in less than an hour from my house.
