My 5 Years In Northwest Virginia Beach 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jun 06, 2014) I have lived in Northwest Virginia Beach for five years now, and I love it! I like the history and culture of the area, the blend of the old and the new, and the friendly people.

Northwest Virginia Beach is located near Chesapeake, Virginia. The boundaries are Maryland and West ...Read More Virginia to the North, Kentucky to the West, Tennessee and North Carolina on the South, and Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic on the East.

Northwest Virginia Beach has a population of 70,387. There are many ethnic groups here but the majority of the residents are Caucasian and most people speak English at home. The income per capita in Northwest Virginia Beach is 31,591. Median household income is approximately $67,127 per year, and the cost of living is relatively low. The median housing value is $262,270. The economy is strong and the rate of unemployment is very low.

Northwest Virginia Beach has a good variety of both traditional and ethnic restaurants. Amenities such as churches, grocery stores, and parks are plentiful. There are several large shopping malls in and around the Northwest Virginia Beach area.

The weather is good, with an average summer temperature of 77° and an average winter temperature of 45°. The crime rate is very low. The schools are excellent and the employment rate is high. There are plenty of good restaurants and shopping malls. The Fairmont Marion County Transit Authority provides bus transportation for the area.

Northwest Virginia Beach has miles of beautiful public beaches and community events occur just about every weekend. This is a tourist town so many recreational, historical and cultural opportunities exist.

There are many recreational opportunities, events, and attractions in and around Northwest Virginia Beach. If you have children, be sure to take them to the Virginia Children's Museum. Older kids (and kids at heart), will enjoy the go karts at Motorworld. It's great family fun.
