Stoneham, Massachusetts Is a quaint little suburb just outside of the bustling city of Boston. With a population of just under 22,000, Stoneham Is much quieter than inner-city Boston. Of course, there are pluses and minuses to living in any community, and it is no different with Stoneham. Read on for more details about this community.
As far as attractions go, the area has the Middlesex Fells Reservation, which has great opportunities for viewing nature, and hiking and the like. It also has the Stone Zoo, which has a number of animals and over 26 acres of space. The Skyline Trail and several lakes are nearby as well. There is also a strong community feel in the town, with over 60% of people who own their own homes. Police presence also accentuates the town. The city planning is not always totally up to par, but it is a great place to raise a family.
When I was there, there wasn't as many opportunities to go to restaurants, enjoy a night life, or go shopping as I would have liked, but the town has always had easy access to the highways. The fact that it is close to Boston definitely makes up for this deficiency.
