I’m husband & I purchased a home in Somerville back in May 2019 because we wanted to buy in a neighborhood that was close knit, and community centered. We fell in love with downtown- the restaurants, division street, outside dining and most importantly, our home which was built ...Read More
in 1938. Many of the homes are historic here and are well kept. Everything is within walking distance and the parks are amazing! There’s a community pool and splash park too. My children, ages 8 & 6, adjusted well and love their new school. It’s common to see people jogging, biking and gardening on a sunny day. Everyone is friendly and the mall is about 9 mins from my home. Love it here! Oh there’s also a ladies night in certain days in May (a little pink symbol painted On the ground outside of the store front are signs of participating stores) and women get discounted merchandise or services. There’s a Christmas truck show.... I can go on and on!

ities, and I love all the new friends I have made on my block.
The best areas in Somerville are the independent restaurants. No wonder so many famous people born in New Jersey come back, the food is incredible. I found the best pizza parlor down the street and a little Italian restaurant that serves the best meatballs on the planet. If I want fine dining, we have it here or I take the bridges into Manhattan in less than thirty minutes.
We have the best beaches down the New Jersey Parkway in Long Branch, Point Pleasant, and Seaside. Each one of these beach communities also have their own unique nightclubs that make them extremely popular.
