DON'T love in Seattle. But if you had to ... User Rating 2.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jun 20, 2022) I lived and worked for Seattle more than 30 years. I wrote a long review under "Seattle," effectively saying, "Don't."

But what if you met the partner of your dreams or something, or just had to live there? First, if that reason is UW or SU, this won't work for you. West Seattle ...Read More is a good ways from SU with traffic, and way too far to UW (all the away diagonally across the city).

If I had to live in Seattle, I would move back to the area I sold my home in - West Seattle. And not just anywhere in West Seattle, but literally either west of 35 Ave SW and south of SW Alaska - the further south, The better. If you don't have enough $$$ for that, then along 9th Ave SW, but paying close attention to crime maps and probably calling the SW Precinct for input.

The biggest problem for West Seattle if you arent working permanently from home is that any commute downtown is a nightmare because the main bridge is down for repairs for at least another year. The Catch 22 there is that once that bridge is operational again, West Seattle may well continue down the slide the rest of Seattle already has. Read Less
