Saratoga, CA: A Village With Old Fashioned Charm 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) I grew up in Saratoga. Unlike many of the people I grew up with, I stayed. There is definitely a bit of a sleepy small town feeling here, but I personally find it enchanting. I delight in seeing the main street lined with beautiful blossoming trees and flowers and the little char ...Read More ming touches that create a sense of laid-back old-fashioned American atmosphere here.

I have raised my children here without any stress. It's a safe place where no one seems to be in a hurry. People sit in different kinds of bakeries, sipping coffee, walking their dogs. There are several unique shops along the main street where you can find one of a kind artisan creations.

Even though the town is small, there is quite a selection of international cuisine including Thai, Chinese, American, and Italian.

We have several beautiful parks and hiking trails surrounding our town such as Vasona Lake County Park, Los Gatos Creek Trail, and Fremont Older Open Space Preserve. There are also several wineries around such as Cooper Garrod Vineyards and Savannah Chanelle Winery where you can participate in tastings. Read Less
