I have lived in San Bruno in the past and have to say that the area is a beautiful place to live, although if you want to live in San Bruno, you had better be pulling in a fairly large pay check. San Bruno lies in the bay area, wedged between the Pacific Ocean and the South Bay, ...Read More
just South of San Francisco and just north of the silicon valley and San Jose, which is the mecca of technology.
There are so many tech jobs in San Bruno that it is starting to get pretty ridiculous. There are a ton of great things that come along with this, such as high scale restaurants, great shopping, a plethora of great clubs and bars and all sorts of attractions, which there are far too many to name. From San Bruno, you can be in the heart of San Francisco in less than fifteen minutes and you can be down on the Stanford University campus, or in the Facebook and Google parking lots in fifteen minutes to the south. Just ten minutes to the west will put you smack dab on some of the best beaches in Northern California, although they can be a bit chilly.
Half Moon Bay is within fifteen minutes of San Bruno and boasts the biggest waves on the entire planet at Mavericks, although there are beginners waves inside the jetty at Half Moon Bay, so if you want to try out surfing, or hike on the beautiful trails out in this area, you can be out there in a very short amount of time. The prices to purchase a home in this area are incredibly high, but the jobs available in the area can more than support the outlandish prices.
