Rutland cursed me for life. 0.5 rating By Anonymous ( Dec 21, 2018) The worst grueling twenty years of my life was in Rutland. I had jobs where the employers would hire and fire me for no reason, I was in a band called THE HUGE MEMBERS where I was considered baggage and I was bored with the music. I had no friends down there except one guy, Ad ...Read More am Wright. The sad thing was the bass player forced me to live there, even though he and many, knew how bad all people down there were leaving me to hang and spit on me. The mental health misdiagnosed me and put me on drugs, whose interactions should have killed me, almost did. I have suffered permanent injuries to eyes and intestines, and two major heart surgeries. Before my almost fatal heart attack, I reached out to fifty Rutland people to save my life and they refused, and a Burlngton samaritan saved the day. Because noone would talk to a lawyer, lawyers threw me out of their office, or get my records, the mental health was able to get away with murder. The lies that people who smiled to your face, is why I will be suffering for the rest of my life. I had the worst roomates, evil neighbors. I remember the last year I lived there, I told alot of people I was suicidal and they said noone would care if you killed yourself. Talk about phonies. WHen I had heart surgery, all these Rutlanders that left me to die, showed me the fakest sympathy. The last time I was down there, I had a broken ankle and noone would give me a ride to Burlington. I had to hitchike, and while Rutlanders were throwing things at me and taunting me, a good samaritan gave me a ride to Burlington. Honesty, the only time people are sincere down there is when they are cruel. Worst place ever. Could have been famous solo, many times, but was threatened with death to live there. Read Less
A Peaceful City to Call Home 5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) I just purchased a home in this area and I have to say it is the perfect time to buy or rent a home since the value of homes has risen to about 4.9% within the last twelve months. I have settled in now for about five months and I realize the home was certainly worth the buy. The ...Read More area offers diversity and has a suburban feel to it.

The winter was not that bad, it does get cold and there is mild snowfall. However, I have seen and experienced worse weather, so I have no complaints here. I have not spent a summer here yet, but my neighbors have been telling me the summer weather is beautiful here. I am totally anticipating the summer to invite my family over for barbecues and picnic outings.

The only disadvantage is the job market has decreased about 1% over the past year. This suits me for the field of work I do as an author. Furthermore, there are still many jobs available I recommend if you plan to move here, be sure to have the job lined up before moving to Vermont. On the upside, there is a variety of things to do which makes up for the disadvantage; one will embrace the endless attractions and amenities in the city. Overall, I love living here, Vermont most peaceful city I have lived by far. Read Less
