River Ridge, Bliss On The Mississippi 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) River Ridge, LA is such a gorgeous place to live. We're right along the Mississippi River, and so we have some absolutely stunning views. Especially around sunset. We have boating and fishing on the Mississippi, and walking trails. We're ...Read More a smaller, mostly residential community, so even though we're close to a lot of the bigger places like Metairie, it feels a bit cozier here.

One of the best areas in River Ridge is Little Farms Park. It offers a covered playground, which is great for getting out of the sun in our balmy summers. We've also got some fantastic schools, both public and private. There's a bit of public transportation along Jefferson Highway, but it doesn't branch out too far from that. So be prepared to do a bit of walking if you take the bus, but like I said, we're a smaller community, so the walk wouldn't be too bad.

You should definitely stop by Dot's Diner on Jefferson, or PJ's for coffee. It's some of the best I've ever had. And don't forget the library. There are constantly new activities going on there. I seriously can't put into words just how much I love living in River Ridge! Read Less
