Best Little Place in the world
Punta Gorda has the nightlife if that is what you are looking for. If you are looking for peace and quiet you can find that as well. It has amazing shopping, and entertainment your looking for. The people are warm and inviting. This little city is beautiful to see the older looking houses or the newer houses. Nice to walk down the sidewalk and meet people and be greeted with hello's and nice day. The parks are all child friendly and most dog friendly. I love Punta Gorda.

Nice little town but very slow
Punta Gorda is not a place for younger people or people who live a fast life. It is great, however, for older people. Many of the activities are boat related or are very "Florida-y". The restaurants downtown are pricy but excellent. I would say that the majority of the population would be older people and/or "rednecks". In this town, people are mainly either wealthy or very poor and there isn't much in between. Nice little town for a family if you'd like something small. However, many kids around here are into drugs.

      Quaint Growing City

The lifestyle is laid back. There is a downtown walkable area which comes alive in the evening. There are restaurants, parks, boating, fishing, sailing and so much more.
