I absolutely love everything about living in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. It gets a little crazy here for the summer months, but nothing like our southern neighbors at Seaside Heights and Seaside Park. The historic Jenkinson's Boardwalk is walking distance to my house, miles of awesome beaches, arcade and carnival-style games, rides, and some of the best food on the planet.
Some may prefer the finer dining establishments along Route 35 or over the Mantoloking Bridge into Brick, but not me. The best areas in Point Pleasant serve pork roll egg and cheese, pizza, funnel cakes, zeppoles, bagels, and of course White Castle hamburgers. All of these and more are within a bike ride of my quiet neighborhood.
If you go just a little further north, you'll hit the Manasquan River, which separates our barrier island from the craziness of Manasquan, Sea Girt, and Brielle. The Ocean County Mall, Route 70 Flea Market, and Monmouth Mall, all shorts drives with a huge variety of shopping choices.
