It is much cheaper to live in Pendleton, OR than the other cities in the state of Oregon. The cost of living and crime rates are below the national average. I find that living in Pendleton, OR has allowed me to consider buying a home here for a lower price on average. The homes are mainly covered in awning, but they are cheaper than many of the homes in the United States.
There is a low-income rate per capita, and the unemployment rate is extremely high. The poverty level is high as well, and the education system is lower than the rest of the nation as a whole.
I love the weather in this city, and it does not get too cold here in the winter. The temperature does not go below 30 degrees, and the summers are nice and hot. The public transportation system is dependable, and there are an abundance of parks to visit if you love the outdoors.
