Elizabethtown might be the best place to live west of Lancaster, Reading, and Allentown, Southeastern Pennyvania's westernmost town (E-town,) still lacks a lot of pluses. Palmyra is 11 miles n of Elizabethtown offers ever less. There is no train service to Philadelphia and New York. The cable television is even worse (only TWO Philadelphia channels and NO Baltimore channels!) The local channels include NBC8 and those horrible Harrisburg area channels! The weather is even a little worse than Elizabethtown (because it is a couple of degrees even colder.) It is largely white, and very heavily Protestant (although church attendence is very average.) Cost of living is probably even a little bit cheaper than Elizabethtown, because there is little to do! The property taxes are probably comparable to Elizabethtown. If you are a white Protestant who wants to live among other white Protestants, consider Palmyra.
