Oatfield, Oregon: A Simple Life 2.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) I live in Oatfield, Oregon and overall this is an okay place to live. Living here provides me with the basics, but I have lived in better places. My largest concern with this area is that the crime rate is high and it seems to be increasing. Like many other areas, we are dealing ...Read More with some major drug use that is causing problems.

I will say that the local school district is decent. My daughter attends Bilquist Elementary School and she does enjoy it. Her teacher is nice and administration seems to be supportive for the most part.

The best areas in Oatfield, Oregon is the availability of the light-rail system. This makes it quite simple and easy to travel into Portland. Being that Oatfield does not have a ton of shops or restaurants, you will often have to travel to Portland to get the basics. So, life here is simple and you will have to travel if you want to do any major shopping or get a good bite to eat. Read Less
