place for me to live.
Oakdale is located about five minutes down I-94 from downtown St. Paul but it feels like it's in a different part of the state. It's filled with ranch houses with big yards and a couple of parks that are some of the best recreational spaces in the area. There is a big central shopping strip that includes all of the expected stores but most of the town is residential and friendly.
In general, Minnesota's economy and job market is very strong. And Oakdale is perfectly located to take advantage of that growth. It's close to the big city and several large companies such as 3-M have huge campuses along one side of town. I can't imagine finding a place with a better balance of work and play than Oakdale.
