I moved to North Myrtle Beach in SC about two years ago. It was the best decision I ever made because I have always loved being at the beach. While this is part of the Myrtle Beach area, it's not as hectic or as loud as it is on the main strip. There are numerous seafood restaurants with my favorite being Calabash. You'll see a few locations that have the same name and that do offer delicious buffets, but the one that I go to is just a few miles north of town. There are three separate restaurants on one street in a little inlet called Calabash. The first restaurant is the original building. There is a beautiful store across the road that features Christmas decorations and fudge all year.
North Myrtle is also known for miniature golf. I've played games in caves and games with decorations that look like dinosaurs. Family Kingdom is another popular attraction in the area that I enjoy. One benefit is that you don't have to worry about finding a job with all of the restaurants, attractions, and stores located in North Myrtle Beach.
