Living in New Ulm is great for a beer lover like me. There is an awesome brewery right in town that is an interesting part of the city's culture and history. New Ulm has a lot of history in general. The best areas in New Ulm to learn about our history are the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame, Brown County Historical Society, and the Herman Heights Monument. All of these make a good day trip and can be great places to take young children, though they are just the tip of the iceberg: there is so much history in this town!
The city is pretty great with all the culture, history, festivals and great places to eat, like Viegel's Kaiserhoof, which serve traditional German food that will leave you craving more. Never once have I considered moving. This city, though small, is a hidden gem that most haven't even heard of. And that, let me tell you, is a real shame.
