Nanticoke, PA Has An Impressively Low Crime Rate - And That's All 2.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) If you are looking for one of the best areas in Pennsylvania to move to, of course one of the first things you're going to look at is the crime rate. I have been living in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania for just over 1 year now. We have an impressively low crime rate here. It has always ...Read More been that way. Unfortunately, that is all we have that is good in this community. The schools are terrible. There are no jobs to be found, nor housing. The people of this town, while nice enough, just don't seem to take any pride in the community they live in. Everything is becoming washed out, broken down, and just depressing to look at. It is sad to say that just about the nicest aspect of Nanticoke is the weather.

At least there are some interesting attractions and things to do in and near Nanticoke. One of my favorites is the Strange and Unusual Antiques Museum. There's also the Split Rock Resort for skiing and water park fun, the Lahey Family Fun Park, the Steamtown National Historic Site, and some pretty nice little cafes and shops scattered around town. I wish I could say more good things about Nanticoke, but this little town needs an awful lot of improvement. Read Less
