Living in Mount Pleasant is a pretty great experience. I grew up in a rural community in Iowa: the town was so tiny the population was just a titch above 1,000. It was almost like I lived in the country. When I went off to college, I knew I wanted that small town vibe for the rest of my life, but I also wanted to explore what larger cities were like. Living here, I get the best of both worlds. Milwaukee is less than an hour's drive away, and Chicago clocks in at under 1.5 hours.
Though there isn't a ton to do here, the best areas to eat in Mount Pleasant are the Well's Brother Restaurant, which has amazing pizza, and Georgie Porgie's, which has some seriously mouthwatering burgers. The town is quiet, though there is decent shopping. For anything fancy, the cities are nearby, like I said. Overall, a great place to live for those who want both community and convenience.
