I lived in Mooresville for about six months before leaving to go to college. The small trailer park I lived in was loud and obnoxious. However, there are a few nicer homes in the city limits as well as newer apartment complexes. The apartments are very high, but there are good jobs in Mooresville that pay enough to support the cost of living, such as various NASCAR teams that call the city their home. Gas prices are a bit cheaper than surrounding cities. There are quite a few places to shop, such as Belk and Walmart, but there are more fast food restaurants than anything else. One restaurant that you must try while in Mooresville is Fat Boys. The restaurant has a buffet with just about anything you could imagine on the weekends, and the BBQ sandwiches are delicious.
If you're not a fan of busy roads and traffic, then consider finding a home on the outskirts of Mooresville because I-77 and Highway 21 are main thoroughfares in the city. There are usually a few wrecks each day.
