A Well Connected Suburb! User Rating 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) I lived in Metuchen for 3 years while I attending Rutgers University and I really liked it. It is suburban, but has a really laid- back family feel. A short distance from New Brunswick, Newark, and New York City ( about 30 miles). This town was very well placed!

I enjoyed livi ...Read More ng here with my family, while working and attending college part-time. The best areas in Metuchen, NJ are Robinvale, Christol Street - to - Grove Avenue, Main Street - to - High Street, and Menlo Park Terrace. The transportation system is very good as the routes connect easily between New York and Philadelphia ( the two major cities in the region).

Altogether this town had the appearance of a suburb, but it carried the pace of a small town. I really liked that! Living in Metuchen, NJ was really nice! Since graduating, I would certainly like to move back when I am more established in my career. Metuchen is a great little town! Read Less
