I lived in Menlo Park for approximately one year. While living in Menlo Park, two things always come to mind when I look back at my experience living there: peace and tranquility. When you walk or drive around the City, one cannot help notice the vast array of trees surrounding many of the neighborhoods. The City has a country western theme with its western-style street signs and large residential parcels of land.
Although there is no true nightlife in the City, you are literally minutes away from Downtown Palo Alto where there is an abundance of restaurants and shops. Also, there is the Stanford Shopping Center with all the retail stores you can imagine. Perhaps the best areas are Bedwell Park and Burgess Park where one can relax or take the family for a nice, quiet picnic.
Menlo Park is also center for some of technology’s largest companies. Intuit and E-Trade have offices there while Facebook has its main headquarters there.
