Small Town Living

Living in Marrero is pretty typical small town living. Usually, nothing exciting is going on, though sometimes the town will pick itself up and surprise you. Shopping options here are decent enough, unless you have designer tastes. For that, you'll need to travel to New Orleans, which isn't far away. The great big Mississippi River is a short drive away as well, which makes living in such a slow city pretty okay. As someone who loves nature and spending an afternoon fishing on the boat, living near the river is a blessing. The best areas in Marrero to eat are the typical fast food chains we are all familiar with; McDonald's, Popeye's, stuff like that. We do have a few unique restaurants though. I recommend Schnells. They have some of the best seafood that I've ever eaten, and the people who run the shop are incredibly nice and helpful as well. That's another small town thing; in general, the community is great.
