I moved to Maplewood a few years back. I was worried I would regret moving to a smaller town, but I haven't doubted my decision once. The town itself has about 40,000 residents; just enough to have great shopping and friends nearby, but not so many that I feel crowded. I have an awesome job in St. Paul, which is a short ten minutes away. Overall, living in Maplewood has been an amazing experience.

The best places to eat in Maplewood are the Vietnam Star Resteraunt and the Cafe'Ine Thai Cafe. Both places offer great food that isn't commonly seen in more rural areas of the state. We also have common shopping hot spots, like a Best Buy and a few grocery stores. We even have a nature center that is a peaceful place to spend a few hours of your weekend. Maplewood may not be a hopping city, but it's close to one and provides a few benefits of it's own.
