Southeast Los Angeles is truly an exciting and fantastic place to live. Los Angeles is a vibrant city always filled with a kind of energy that you do not see anywhere else besides New York City. The great thing about Southeast Los Angeles is that you are near everything. Literall ...Read More
y, a mile or two from Beverly Hills, six miles from North Hollywood, five miles from McArthur Park, and four miles from the downtown Los Angeles district. Everything is a drive or bus ride away. Being moments away from Sunset Boulevard, Amoeba Records, tons of shopping, restaurants, bars, and clubs makes this area of town a prime place to live. You can head into the downtown area for some entertainment and back to the some quieter parts of Southeast Los Angeles for some repose. There is a strong arts community in Southeast Los Angeles as well. Restaurants in this part of town are great as well as shopping. And the people you meet here are less impolite than how some of the more downtown Los Angeles residents can be.
I have lived in Los Angeles almost my whole life, but I have been living in Southeast Los Angeles the past fifteen years. The one thing about Los Angeles besides the noise and crowded city street is the violence. Like in most cities, there is an ample amount of gang and street violence that make some parts of Southeast Los Angeles unsafe to live. Los Angeles is not for everyone, but it is for me. And I love the west coast weather and the sunlight in Southeast Los Angeles makes this a beautiful part or section of town to live in.
