Love living in Longmont! 4 rating By Anonymous ( Aug 19, 2018) We moved to Longmont this year. We enjoy a nice view of Longs Peak and sunsets from our front door. Our neighborhood is quiet and friendly, feels safe, and is close to schools. Longmont is very dog friendly and has dog parks all around town. It is very bike friendly here. Our ...Read More favorite bike route from our home is around Lake McIntosh. Our favorite walking paths are along the St. Vrain starting at Golden Ponds or Izaak Walton Park and the Left Hand Creek Park path is really nice too.We walked to Cafe Luna one morning for a cappuccino and pastry and enjoyed a view of the Front Range from the deck. Roosevelt Park is across the street. Downtown Longmont is so pretty in the summer with all the trees and flowers. We enjoy ice cream from Scrumptious, the Barbed Wire bookstore down the block and Longs Peak Pub or the Pump House for a brew and a burger. There is a beer trolley to connect beer enthusiasts with all the local brew pubs. We love Mama Mead's 'Gibby' Pizza for take out. Jester's Theater is a fun night out! But wait! There's so much more.....Longmont is 35 minutes from Rocky Mtn NP gateway. It is 25 minutes to Pearl Street in Boulder, 40 minutes to the Westminster Station to take the Light Rail to Union Station in Denver to enjoy our favorite sports. Longmont is well planned and growing. I have lived in 12 fun cities in 8 different states. It's all been good and I can honestly say, Longmont is a gem! Read Less

A Good Time in Longmont, Colorado 4 rating By Anonymous ( Aug 04, 2010) I can definetely say, Longmont, Colorado was a great vacationing spot for myself. Me being a outdoors type of person, I enjoyed the abundant amount of parks that Longmont, Colorado has to offer. Fishing was a blast at The Union Reservoir . I was told that trout, catfish, bass, su ...Read More nfish, and wiper inhabit the reservoir and that was exciting news for me. The Quail Campus Park was a treat. I was happily suprised by the display of art in the park. It was very new age and the pieces of art that were on display were beautiful.

The shopping scene in Longmont isn't anything over the top. I was able to find my usual everyday hygiene products at the local Target and Walmart. I do recommend shopping at Barbed Wire Books in the city of Longmont. They have low prices on tons of books an magazines, new and used. I found the Jerry Seinfield's autobiography book that I've been looking so hard to find at a beyond reasonable price.

For my breakfast and lunch selections in Longmont, Le Peep was a excellent choice. The eggs were always cooked perfectly and the bacon wasn't undercooked or overcooked like alot of restaurants tend to do. The Pumphouse Brewery and Restaurant caught my attention for my first dinner during my stay in Longmont and it surely won my heart. The beer was very smoothe, and me being a novice beer drinker enjoyed the different qualitites of beer they offer. I indulged on their scrumptous Salmon dish on an outside balcony in the midst of a nice summer breeze. The atmosphere was very vibrant and lively. People playing pool, enjoying a beer watching games on flat screen TVs, I must say I enjoyed myself very much. Longmont, Colorado is a destination of good times and great memories. I hope to go back soon! Read Less
