We bought a post recession foreclosure in 2014 for $65000 for cash.
Sweat equity and a little elbow grease and we live in a block ranch house standing securely thru hurricanes since 1968. Snowbirds from New England.

ters in the mix. We have one unsightly house rented to losers. We complain to town officials. The landlord is absentee. Rents are way too low and folks on state aid and mental health and drug issues slip under the radar. And are placed in homes rented for $800 bucks which qualifies for subsidies. This is creating a dirge of unappealing curbside appeal off off Flomich and Central Avenue. The auto dumps in residential neighborhoods is also a head scratcher for this New England transplant.
Holly Hill has a young mayor now. And he is being proactive w residents. He is encouraging the taxes be put to good use to enhance the community for all residents , young and old. We have a community filled with diversity and we are proud of our place in Florida History. Stop by the local historical society. I predict that Holly Hill will move into a positive direction for the future as residents become more participatory in town culture and community. Many focus a activism through local churches.
We enjoy the weather in winter months and very close to beach’s and river. We visit Sanford and St. Augustine for extra fun. So close by. Along with Blue Springs down Rt. 40.
Holly Hill has been getting negative reviews forever. It’s a ruse. !!! People are a bit racist that are writing the negative reviews. This is truly a middle class community. And young families are moving in to make it great. So come visit the area. Best hotel options are beachside in Ormond by the Sea .
