Healdsburg, California is quickly becoming one of the premier destinations to live and visit in Northern California. Because of its central location in Sonoma County, Healdsburg is at the epicenter of the wine renaissance movement. I love living in Healdsburg because of the eclectic mix of dining and wine tasting options. The moderate climate is also a significant selling point of Healdsburg. Most residents of Healdsburg work in the wine, service, or tourism industries, as the area offers plentiful opportunities in all three ventures. The best area of Healdsburg is the chic downtown area, featuring a variety of farm to table restaurants, boutique shopping, and over 30 wine tasting rooms, all reflecting the unique personality of Sonoma County. Popular wineries in Healdsburg include Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and J Vineyards. In addition to wine tasting, the area boasts a wide array of outdoor experiences including premium golf, hot balloon rides over the valley, historic museums including the Healdsburg Museum and Historical Society, and more.
