Nice coastal town to live in, with expensive housing.
This is a great community to raise your kids. There are 2 elementary schools in the immediate area (3 if you count Farllone View up in Montara, which is 15 minutes north), one middle-school (Cunha Intermediate), and one high school (HMB High). There are several fine dinning establishments (personal favorite is Pasta Moon) and shopping centers. There are 3 taquerias (Tres Amigos is recommended), and 3 fast food places ("Jersey Joe's" is a coastside original specializing in Philly-style cheese-stakes), and 2 pizza places. The "favorite" sport of the town is soccer. (there are a few leagues for little kids and teens alike) The housing averages $900,000+, but compensate with beautiful architecture. The beach is nearby, while the Montara Trail is 15 miles north. The traffic is bad heading out of town in the evening; especially during the yearly "Pumpkin Festival" in mid-October. Another yearly tradition would be "The Dream Machines", an amazing car-show.

Half Moon Bay: Experience the Excitement!
Oh how I love this windy city! Half Moon Bay is a city full of life, entertainment, and great restaurants. In addition, the community is always friendly and welcoming. I lived in this city for two years before I had to relocate for work. Now that I reside two hours away from the city, I still manage to visit several times a month to enjoy some amazing restaurants. Some of the best areas in Half Moon Bay to eat at are: Half Moon Bay Brewing, Sam’s Chowder House, and Monsoon Himalayan Cuisine.

These restaurants to name a few will make you fall in-love with Half Moon Bay. Half Moon Bay Brewing has some of the best brew in the state; in addition, they have a very relaxed dining area. If you want views of the ocean that take your breath away then look no further because Sam’s Chowder House has delicious food that compliments its ocean front dining. Speaking of delicious food Monsoon Himalayan Cuisine has some of the best curry dishes in all of Half Moon Bay.
