Greeley is one of the ugliest cities I have seen in Colorado. There are a few pockets of nice subdivisions, but overall, Greeley is extremely unattractive, with little to do or see. It used to be the most affordable place to live in comparison to surrounding cities like Windsor, ...Read More
Loveland, and Fort Collins, but over the last year the prices of rent and real estate have jumped up so severely high (average wage there is about $55K a year), you might as well move to Los Angeles and live in beauty, or go live in pretty Fort Collins. Greeley often has horrible smells lingering in the air from some of the farms out that way, which can cause the entire city to smell like rotten manure. The downtown area is awful and unsafe. There are a lot of unsafe areas in Greeley, and the mall in Greeley is a known crime area.

I recently took a trip to Greeley, Colorado for our Independence Day celebration. Although the city where the festivities were held were not one of the best areas it was a great city. The parade is nice long parade. The carnival is held in the park that they have every year. They ...Read More
also have a lot to do during that time. The park near the parade is very nice and kept clean. It has lots of activities as well. The location was not in the not so good part of Greeley so that could make anybody nervous about even visiting the city. Overall, Greeley did feel like a fairly safe city.
The Western part of the city of Greeley was more of a nicer area and had a nicer appeal. The mall is very nice and is in a lovely area. The mall itself is not very big but the city itself is not very big. It does have a movie theater and other attractions that you'd consider standard in every mid sized city. However, if you are looking for that big city feel, Denver is located not very far from Greeley. In fact, on a good traffic day, you could reach the city of Denver in just over an hour.
