It's Ok For A Visit, But Living Here Is A Totally Different Story User Rating 2 rating By CeCe25 ( May 16, 2018) The last reviewer brough up Fayetteville, that is so true because there's not much out here. There's plenty of shopping, but fun activities is not there. One thing I love is the history and some food places, but otherwise there's no appeal. This city is more for older people as i ...Read More t isn't fast paced. Cost of living is starting to go up more, but wages aren't. Fort Smith out of date User Rating 0.5 rating By Barter ( Aug 10, 2017) I moved here from Gravette and thought that Fort Smith is a place full of fun and have a lot of new sites. But sadly I was wrong. After a month of living here, I noticed that Fort Smith is downgraded and old version of fayetteville. UAFS campus is neat though and the art is amazi ...Read More ng too. The night club and bars are for like old country folks who like to skip around with their boots. There is no place for the youth to enjoy at night. I always end up telling all my friends and family to hangout at Fayetteville because it just fit our age range (early 20s). Fort Smith is like a bigger Bella Vista with the military bases. This place is not for me but for the old folks and for the Harley biker gangs. I spent a year here and i have tried to enjoy every moment walking the trails and......well sadly thats the only activity I have done after like 4 months in Fort Smith. This place needs a arcade or another place like Fast Lanes or a better Elevate just as good as High Rise. Read Less

Fort Smith, AR - The Wild West User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( Jul 27, 2010) When I visited Forth Smith, AR in early 2010 I couldn't help but feel as if I was in the Wild West. The town of Fort Smith offers a wonderful classic Wild West feel with a welcomed splash of culture and history. I found myself very entertained by the rich culture of Fort Smith wh ...Read More ich are brought to life by the many museums.

While Fort Smith is big on the culture and history it is worth noting the Fort Smith has a nice downtown city area which does not feel like the Wild West. Downtown Fort Smith offers great options for restaurant dining, lodging and some energetic nightlife. Visitors who prefer the more modern feel will be pleased with downtown and those searching for a full featured and very entertaining club should visit the Electric Cowboy. Central Mall is the largest indoor mall in the state and offers great shopping.

Food selection varies greatly but there are a large number of major chains and small country style restaurants alike. International cuisine wasn't exactly spectacular in Fort Smith but the local cuisine was great. The many museums including the Trolley museum, my favorite all make for great family stops. There is plenty of history in Fort Smith and travelers of all ages will find something to enjoy. Read Less
