A Great Recreational City to Inhabit 5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) I have lived in Eureka, Missouri for 12 years. It is an interesting and great place to be with a mix of old and new areas. There is the old town section which has a lot of interesting and historical attractions. Then there is the area with the newer neighborhoods and subdivisions ...Read More which also brought many businesses and jobs to our town.

There are always plenty of jobs available here in Eureka. They may not be the highest paying jobs, but there are many that pay more than minimum wage. We have the Walmart Super Center here and many smaller stores nearby that provide commerce back into our town. We also have the Six Flags over Mid-America Theme Park which not only brings jobs to our town but also attracts visitors from all over Missouri and the entire Midwest region. Many of the visitors to Six Flags from farther away choose to dine at some of the great restaurants in our town then typically stay overnight at the Holiday Inn or one of our other attractive hotels or campgrounds. In the winter months, many of the visitors to the nearby Hidden Valley Ski Resort dine and lodge in our town during their trip.

Eureka is a safe place to live with a very low crime rate thanks to the dedication and commitment of the Eureka Police Force. Having Interstate 44 access nearby makes transportation simple. There are many fun recreational things to do here with a variety of parks, golf courses, a theme park and ski resort nearby. Read Less
