Erie Colorado: No Longer a Mining Town

Living in Erie Colorado was an amazing experience. My family and I lived there for over 5 years. We enjoyed the transparent sense of security and safety that the town provided. The weather there can be moderate for the most part, with 3 or 4 warm months in the year on average. This is an excellent city for relocation, as it offers a great outlook for viable employment. However, it is a bit costly to live in this area, relative to other cities in Colorado. Nonetheless, education is on point, and the housing market is flourishing.

Erie Colorado, named for Erie Pennsylvania, was known for its rich mining history. The city is about 20 minutes away from the major city Denver Colorado. Today, Erie has evolved into a well-rounded community, bolstering with well-maintained parks and recreational areas. The beautifully engineered community offers lots of walking, bike trails, and hiking. The town has also emerged with a local Arts Coalition in Old Town Erie. The surrounding art districts are the best areas in Erie Colorado.
