I'll start with the pros. El Paso is very affordable, safe, and laid-back, and enjoys sunny weather almost year-round. The cons: boring, homogenous, very low wages, stagnant. After almost three years of living here, I have yet to experience any of the so-called "diversity" El Pasoans pride themselves on. At over 80% Hispanic, it kind of feels like living in Mexico. That's not how I define "diverse." And as far as economy goes, no growth to speak of. Downtown is dead. Wages are about 15 years behind the times. Not recommended unless you're a retiree looking to chill at home every day.Sorry, El Paso. Just doling out some honesty.
