I've only been living in Cherryland a few months and I should have listened to the people who told me to come check the pla ...Read More ce out a little better before moving here. This is definitely not one of the best areas in California, or anywhere else, to make your home. Crime here is just awful. Crimes of all kinds are prevalent here. I can't even speak well for the people who make up the town, because they just don't care about their community. The schools are terrible, there is no housing because it is all taken up and trashed, and there's just an air of depression over this whole place.

The only things even remotely redeeming about Cherryland are the good weather and a few decent attractions, like the Hayward Japanese Gardens, iFLY Indoor Skydiving, Kennedy Park which is a park and a zoo, Mel's Play Place which is a rec center for kids, and that's about it. Read Less
