I have lived in Centreville, VA for the past several years. The key thing that attracted me to relocate to this city was its close proximity to Washington D.C. Located just 20 miles outside Washington D.C., living in Centreville, VA allows me to take all the big events that come ...Read More
to the city. Not to mention getting to take family and friends on a tour of the White House, the Washington Monument, and of course the Capitol Building.
Centreville is by far one of the prettiest cities in Virginia. It has an overwhelming view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah Valley. Every fall you can see the true beauty of living in a state with all four seasons. The town of Centreville is quaint. Like a mini city of sorts, when I relocated to Centreville, VA I noticed right away how much I enjoyed walking around town doing errands. It so beat shopping in an overcrowded mall or other high population setting. Of course, when I long for those things I usually just hop in my car and drive to D.C. for the day or the weekend.
Because Centreville, VA is a smaller town there is not much excitement. Its slower pace works perfectly for me because I can always make a quick trip to the city if I am longing for that. Some people who are less apt to take that 30 minute ride might think that Centerville is too small town for them. For me it has just the right amount of neighborly charm and when guests come I can take them to do all the touristy things in D.C.
My relocation to Centreville, VA was the best thing that I have ever done. It provides me with a nice low key living environment. At the same time it also provides me with the excitement of the big city that I truly long for at times. Balance is key and that is why Centreville, VA works well as a home base for me.
