There's nothing quite like that small-town feel when you can still hop a ferry and do the big-city nightlife thing! See, Bremerton is Navy town, across Puget Sound from Seattle. A quick boat ride can get you to more clubs, fancy theaters, and major sporting e ...Read More vents; you can stick in Bremerton itself for golf, parks, and boating, as well as a diverse selection of arts on the Olympic peninsula itself. Bremerton schools have received national and state recognition for their early childhood programs.

Of course, because it's in the Pacific Northwest, and right on the water, Bremerton has some of the best seafood around. If you're looking for arts and crafts, there are some of the most diverse crafts available in the Northwest, including lots of Salish and other Northwest Coast arts. There is live theater and dance and music available in Bremerton as well as across the water in Seattle, and music in the park is available in the summer. Read Less
